ABOUT THE BODY ONENESS AND DIVERSITY INSTITUTE
The Body Oneness & DiversitY (BODY) Institute is a response to the belief that the Body of Christ can more greatly respond to the calls and cries of the world by providing real solutions to the real problems people are facing in our local communities. But to do this, the Body of Christ must overcome our disunity by being reconciled from what divides us, liberated from what oppresses us, and to be transformed into beautiful butterflies God has designed us to be!
The BODY Institute offers training, curriculum and consultations to further equip the Body of Christ with tools to assist individuals and families in experiencing reconciliation, liberation, and transformation within their local neighborhoods, churches, schools, organizations, and daily lives.
MISSION: OPERATION BUTTERFLY
Operation Butterfly is our current 9-month mission (September 2023-May 2024) that offers training and curriculum to develop and deploy a national network of Micro-Ministry Teams of Reconciliation, Liberation, and Transformation.
Through BODY Institute’s training, these teams of 2-6 people will become better equipped to further provide solutions to our disunity, dormancy, and disorder in the Body of Christ. For more details on this mission, please read the problems, solutions and outcomes explained below.
PROBLEMS, SOLUTIONS & OUTCOMES
Operation Butterfly aims to address 3 major challenges in the BODY and explore 3 primary solutions, while taking action towards 3 envisioned outcomes for the Body of Christ and the communities we are called to love and serve.
Problem 1: DISUNITY IN THE BODY
Disunity in the Body has greatly disabled and discredited our witness in a world that so desperately needs the hope, love, truth, and light of the Christ!
Solution 1: UNITY IN THE BODY
Unity in the Body through the Word and Ministry of Reconciliation as we break down the walls that divide us and become united with one another as the Father and Son are One!
Envisioned Outcome 1: MANIFESTATIONS OF RECONCILIATIONS
Manifestations of reconciliations among people from diverse nations and generations, political and cultural affiliations, ethnic orientations, and denominations loving and serving one another in Unity!
Problem 2: DORMANCY IN THE BODY
As the result of so few members in the Body of Christ realizing and releasing their gifts and ministries in love and service to churches, neighborhoods, and schools.
Solution 2: VALUING AND AWAKENING OUR DIVERSITY
Valuing and awakening our diversity occurs when each member in the Body of Christ realizes their gifts, and how each person’s unique gifting can work together with others in love and service to others.
Envisioned Outcome 2: MANIFESTATIONS OF LIBERATIONS
Manifestations of liberations happens when each person experiences the full value, release, and liberation of their gifts and ministries working together in full unity with others to love and serve others.
Problem 3: DISORDER IN THE BODY
Disorder in the body is the result of time, talent, and treasure resources are deployed in an inefficient, ineffective, and unsustainable way that does not provide real solutions to real needs.
Solution 3: DEPLOYING HIS BODY
Deploying His body is when Micro-Ministry Teams are deployed to link, coordinate, and provide resources to residents, students, and families in need in an effective, efficient, and sustainable way.
Envisioned Outcome 3: MANIFESTATIONS OF TRANSFORMATIONS
Manifestations of transformations is the result of lives and families being transformed from broken state into a future state of healing and wholeness, as resources are being properly matched with the real need.
